My country festival

Yun JI

Every year, we celebrate new year, but we use the Luna calendar. We visit relatives and have meals together. We eat Dduck-kuk that is made rice cake. We tell another person about well-wishing remarks and play Korean traditional games. Adults give some money for children.
Thanks giving Day is the second big festival. We thank our ancestor, so we prepare a lot of food. In the morning, we pray for our ancestor, and we visit our ancestors grave.
Valentine Day is popular for young people. In korea, girls give chocolates to boys. These days, they give chocolates with other presents. White day is opposite, so boys give candies to girls.
Christmas is very big festival too. Christians go to church and celebrate Jesuss born and change presents each other. Spme people have a party with their friends.

If you are just typing them "on the fly"....cudos!! Your English skills are considerable!!! If not, cudos anyway....good way to practice using the English you have worked so hard to learn!! (loads of !!!!!s, eh?)

Are you interested in cultural anthropology??? Or....are you dreaming of globe trotting one day???? (lots of ????s now)

Nice to meet you....Philo :)
