I know in Islam, a Muslim can't marry a nonmuslim. |
A muslim man can marry a woman who follows any Abrahamitic belief (jew, christian, muslim).
A muslim woman can marry only a muslim man...
Answering the question of the topic: according to any Christian belief, Jesus himself said he had been sent to COMPLETE the writing of the divine law. For Christians, The New Testament is just the last part of the bible. It is not better or worse. It's just its continuation. Christians are jews that believe in the Christ's come. And that follow the teachings of Jesus, the Christ, and his apostles. |

Can a Christian marry a non-Christian? |
Technically, it is strongly discouraged. There is a verse in the New Testament that says:
2nd Corinthians 6: 14-15
14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
How strongly that is enforced depends on the particular church.
Though interestingly, it is said that early Christianity spread fastest in the old Roman Empire by marriage of Christian women to non-Christian men. The women liked the rule that it is a sin to commit adultry, so they reeeally wanted their husbands to become Christians too and follow that rule. |

This one is amusing .
In the 70's, a famous Indian actor (hindu), who was already long married, fell for a famous Indian actress (hindu). He did not divorce his first wife, and in anticipation of any legal hassles, both of them perfunctorily converted to Islam, without anybody getting the wiser, and then got married. The conversion wasn't made public.
They lived on happily, had two daughters, and great careers. The first wife too reconciled, and everyone was happy. So far so good.
After a fulfilling career in films, they then turned to politics. Both of them became parliamentarians. That was when people from the rival party somehow came to know about the conversion, made it public and took issue to it. They accused them of furnishing incorrect personal information (name and religion) in the nomination papers. Conversion to Islam implies taking muslim names. Of course the smoke settled after a little bit of hullabaloo. |

I don't think the Church of England pays much attention to the bible nowadays, Bob. They just want to get the backsides in the seats so they can make some money. |

I have a question for Christians:
If the Jews are G/d's "Chosen People", then why don't Christians convert to Judaism?
I don't mean this to be rude, I just am confused and want to understand |
This is very hard to understand but maybe God makes the Scriptures so hard because of His last day...
In the Bible also is written that a people(christians) will give the place of the Jews in the God vinejard (Luke 20, 9..19)... |

Hey now!
The Jews may be "God's chosen people" - but they are not God's Direct Contact.

If a Christian man marries an atheist woman, then they are still allowed to celebrate their wedding in the church? |
A man is spiritually more strong than a woman who loves her husband so I would say "yes"... |

The Church of England is the last of the Churches, also it accepts the divorce!
Those who believe that Christ is God are all saved...but I think that a
Church has a role that is to follow the Gospels, also the last things that a christian can make(Galat 5, 15)... |

Where are you from? Where did you find out this statement? I find it interesting because it is not the first time I hear it... |
