If a tour guide failed to get passports ready for tour travlers, and therefore they couldn't get on the scheduled plane.
Is there something else othe than "mistake"?
Thanks |

Hi missdaredevil,
It sounds like your tour guide blew it. He really messed up. I wouldn`t easily forgive a screw-up like that. One might say that he dropped the ball.
I am sure there are plenty more expressions to better express this situation than "mistake."

Thanks for the suggestion. I was more looking for nouns rahter than verbs.
Thank god it didn't happen to me, but it happened to another tour group. It caused our plane delayed for one hour. Our tour members had to run for 20 minutes to get to the gate once we arrived at Hong Kong airport. We managed to get on the plane on time and didn't have to camp at the airport. |

Other nouns that mean mistake: error, misjudgment, lapse, goof, boner, mess-up, faux pas, misstep, boo-boo, blunder, gaffe, flub, slip, slip-up, failure, oversight, sin. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
