In the quote, what does 'cast' mean? I can guess the meaning of 'cast' is 'kind'. But I'm not sure. Can you help me?

The cast of a play is the set of individuals playing the different parts in the play. I think the writer is using "cast of simians" in that way, meaning the entire set of simians least likely to survive. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
