Hello, teachers.
In Japan, most movie theaters offer a special discount for women on wednesdays and we call the discount "ladies day discount ". That is, at theaters, wednesdays are "ladies day". Some restaurants also have "ladies day" .
Do you have the same kind of discount in the States or in other countries where English is spoken?
If not, is the following explanetion about "ladies day" understandable?

They offer ladies' discounts at movie theaters or retaurants on specific days.

Weman can get special discount on specific days at restaurants or movie theaters.

Thank you inadvance!

Your sentences are correct, with the exception of the spelling of restaurants in the first sentence and of women in the second sentence.
In the second sentence you should say, "a special discount"

Such discounts are available in UK and Canada, but are becoming less common.

Thank you for your reply and correcting my sentences, asterix-san!!
Would you tell me what do they call the discount in UK or Canada?
If I say "I got a ladies day discount." or "Today is a ladies day.", is it understandable?

Regards,
