To memorize is to do something actively to try to remember something. To remember is just to have something in the memory, available for recall.
I remember my first day of kindergarten, even though I did nothing to try to remember it. I memorized a poem by Richard Armour and can still recite it to this day, many years later, because I tried to remember all the words in the right order. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
