Dear Teachers,

1. Dont ask too much of her or to pour out her feelings to you.
- dont ask too much of her means dont ask her too many questions, right?

2. Doing this does not assure that he will like you, so dont take this for granted. Its just a little help.
- What does dont take this for granted mean? And is it an expression?

Thanks a bunch to Teacher,

Stevenukd

Hi,

1. "Don`t ask too much of her" means that whatever it is that you are asking of her is beyond her abilities. If you are asking too many questions that she can`t answer, then it might, in that situation, mean don`t ask her too many questions. The meaning is much broader than just that.

2. "Don`t take it for granted" is a common expression. If you were to take something for granted you would underestimate the value of whatever that something is or you would assume that it will work out as you expect. When someone tells you to not take something for granted, they are telling you to pay more attention to it.
