Hello everybody!
I need help with a definite article. I do not know if I used it correctly.
Here is my example:
...Some nations exterminate other nations in order to be the dominant race. This war is the(?) most horrible. It is called genoside - deliberate killing of people.

Most horrible is a superlative - there can only be one thing that's the most horrible, so you have to use the because you're talking about that one specific thing.
By the way, it's genocide and not genoside. Words ending in -cide usually relate to killing: genocide, pesticide, homicide, suicide etc.
It's pronounced like 'side' though.  |
