It is a masterpieace indeed. While reading it,i was amazed by the genius of Oscar Wilde.I was so captured by the charm of it that i could hardly drop it.If you had read it,i would really like to know about your opinions, and if not;i do recommend you to do it at once!

Hi,

I have recently joined this site, and being a literature enthusiast, I would like to share a few facts about the article posted. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was indeed a poet and a writer. 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' was the ONLY book that he wrote. The rest of his works were in verse form.

This literary piece was first published on 20th June 1890 as a lead story in Lippincott's Monthly Magazine. This book did bring about controversy as it dealt with homosexuality, which was considered outrageous at that time.

I have read The Picture of Dorian Gray a few times. Despite the change of time, human nature will always remain the same....and greed will eventually lead to self-destruction..
