I've encountered the sentence below, but have never seen this type of grammar. Is that common? Is that commonly used in written English? Also what does it mean?
The sentence is;
To to my best, I could not understand it.

Hi,
I don`t understand it either. Maybe the writer means "I did my best, but could not understand it."
The meaning is not obvious, though. It is probably best that you be careful about learing from the source of this sentence.

OK, I'll. It's quite funny that we sometimes find the sentences in language textbooks which are totally clumsy to their native speakers or grammartically completely wrong.....
