Dear teachers,

Which verbs go with:

While the washing machine ...... (runs?, does it's job? goes? operates? works its magic?), I have time to read.

I'm looking forward to getting your suggestions.

I would say all your verbs work fine for a washing machine; "goes" is the only one I wouldn't use. (But it's "its," not "it's," for "works its magic.")
