Dear Teachers,
1. As Ive said many times before the man you love is a package deal. You cant have him without his son.
- What does package deal mean here?
2. Ive been seeing a girl for over 4 months.
- I think when he or she says see, he or she means his or her relationship is not very serious, right? And date is more serious, right?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. A package deal is one where two or more items are packaged together and sold as one, sometimes at a discount. A desk, chair, and credenza might be combined and sold as a package or a package deal.
Here, if she takes the man she gets the son, too.
2. In the U.S., when two people are seeing one another, it usually means they are in a relationship. It could be casual or serious, but I think it usually means the two are going out together exclusively. They are going steady, dating each other and no one else.
If it is more casual, then the person would say something like, "I'm seeing several men / women now, but no one seriously." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
