Not quite.
"John was born before the revolution so he vaguely remember what was like then" needs a comma after "revolution" and some inflection on "remember." I'd also add an "only," hence:
"John was born before the revolution, so he only vaguely remembers what was like then."
If John is no longer with us, or the story is being told in the past tense, then it might have to be "John had been born before the revolution, so he only vaguely remembered what was like then." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
