Hi,
I'm wondering if there's any difference in the meaning between the simple future tense and future progressive tense.
I will take three classes next semester.
I will be taking three classes next semester.
My guess is that the second sentence is used when the plan has already been made or I am required to take three classes.
I'm looking forward to getting an explanation soon. Thank you very much. |

hi,
I think,
will is used to state the starting point,
will + be + v-ing : is used to talk about a process ( a period that is still going on )

With the continuous forms we refer to an action in progress over a period of time.
Next month I will be skiing.
The continuous is often used to refer to an interruption of one action by another action.
I was taking a shower when you called.
He always knocks on my door when we're having supper.
The continuous forms imply that the situation is limited to a period of time. It's not a permanent situation.
I am living in Madrid. (for the moment)
Next year I will be living in Barcelona. (for a period of time) _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
