There are four sentences. I have to choose one as the correct one. I think the answer is C. But I would like to understnad why the rest were wrong.
A. Having some conversations, she was likely to trust the doctor.
Does this mean that she had some conversations and she was likely to trust the doctor? Strange.
B. While having talked several times, she has come to trust the doctor.
While she has talked several times, she has come to trust the doctor.
If you had to appreciate this while, what does this mean?
C. After several conversations with him, she came to trust the doctor.
I think this is correct.
D. While speaking a few times to the doctor, she became to trust him.
While she was speaking a few times to doctor(this doesnt make sense?), she became to trust him. became is wrong and should be changed to came. |

C: Is correct. You are right.
A. Doesn't make sense. It doesn't say with whom she had the conversations and the verb tenses don't agree.
B: Much the same as A:
While they have been talking, she has come to trust the doctor.
might work.
D: You are correct in your analysis. |

Thank you very much, asterix.

>A. Doesn't make sense. It doesn't say with whom she had the conversations and the verb tenses don't agree.
I feel this sentence, especially its meaning, strange. But I'm not sure how I should arrnge the verve tenses in order for the sentence to make sense to some extent. I would like to know that.
B. While having talked several times, she has come to trust the doctor.
>B: Much the same as A:
While they have been talking, she has come to trust the doctor.
might work.
What does this while in you example mean? time duration?
Thank you again. |

Having had some conversations with him, she felt she could trust the doctor.
Is one way you could fix up sentence A:
While, in sentence B: means: during the time that |
