It's a review that is very positive. A critic would write a rave review when he/she is strongly recommending something to his/her readers.
Ex. It takes 2 months to get a reservation at Umberto's Ristorante because of all the rave reviews.
The opposite is 'to pan.' The play closed after only three days because all the critics panned it. |
