A:Which is the most famous, the monkey, the mouse, or the dog?
B:The monkey is the most famous.
Q2:Are the sentences right?
Tom Cruise is the most famous actor of the year.
Tom Cruise is the year's most famous actor.

Yes, but put a colon instead of a comma.
Which is the most famous:the monkey, the mouse, or the dog?
Q2:Are the sentences right?
Tom Cruise is the most famous actor of the year.
Tom Cruise is the year's most famous actor.

You could also say "Which are the most famous: monkeys, mice, or dogs?
"Monkeys are the most famous."
But, in general, we don't rate animals for their fame. We generally rate animals in other ways: intelligence, size, speed, gregariousness, for example. |
