BitTorrent and BitComet are both softwares that you can use to get the download from torrent links. You can use either one of them. I personally prefer BitComet for its interface.

Here is how torrents work:
You will have to find a torrent link (music, videos, games etc.) You can find BitTorrent links from websites such as Torrentspy.com (Type in whatever you want to search and download the BT Link. (Shortcut for BitTorrent)

After you downloaded the BT Link, open it up. Normally, its default will be whichever program that you set default for. Say you set all the BT links for BitComet to handle, it will open up BitComet.

Then just click ok and start the download.

That is basically how it works. Normally you will want to find torrent links with a decent amount of seeders. Seeders are like people who have finished download and they have their torrent on so you can get the files over from them.

Bitcomet is a very popular P2P download software, I often download movies, music, all kinds of software, and so on by it. the speed of downlod
depends on how many torrent are, and how many user use it. the more user are,the quicker speed is.

The sites where you can find the .torrent file suppose "tracker" like thepiratebay.org, isohunt.com, mininova.org. There are two different sorts of trackers:

1) A open tracker like thepiratebay.org. On these trackers you can download files without a registration, but there you download slowlier than on a anti-leech-tracker (info: leech-download, seed-upload). Why ? Because on an open tracker nobody uploads stuff, and if someone upload stuff there are in 1min 100leechers who download that stuff...so the uploadspeed is splitted up to this 100 users, and each of the leechers download slowly!

2) Anti-leech-tracker like oink. On these trackers you must register to download! And there are rules: for example: you must keep a ratio (upload/download=1) and if the ratio falls under 1 they ban your IP.
Other rules: You must seed your downloaded stuff to a fileratio (upload/download=0,75-1) or 48hours. Because of these rules everybody is seeding and the download speed is very high.

I prefer a antileech tracker because on these you doesn't find viruses, worms, trojans or bad stuff (.rar,.zip archived with a password but the uploader doesn't give the password)! On the antileechtracker they are also honest about the content of the torrentfiles and the quality etc.

i hope i could help you and sorry for my bad english...contact me if you have more questions!
