1.Do you know what the picture represents?
2.He hated the school and everything it represented.
3.The article represents the millionaire as a simple family man.
4.He had represented himself as an employee in order to gain access to the files. |
In the aboves, what does #4 mean?
And also, I'd like to know if all 'represent's of the aboves can be replaced with 'present's.
Thanks. |

Translations of "represent" in these sentences:
1.Do you know what the picture depicts?
2.He hated the school and everything it stood for.
3.The article portrays the millionaire as a simple family man.
4.He had portrayed himself / held himself out as an employee in order to gain access to the files.
You might use "presents" in no. 3, but not the others, in my opinion. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
