How can I keep the conversation between me and my foreign friends?
I sometimes chat with one of my american friend with mic. But it's hard to keep our conversation. Do you have any ideas to keep the conversation? please tell me some phrazes to keep the conversation. If you stop the conversation, what would you do?

I wonder if some learned phrases will keep you talking, but maybe bore your friend. It would become a predictable conversation.

If you can, try not to be self-conscious about the pauses. Your friend probably realizes that conversation in English is difficult for you right now. And the more you practice, the better you'll get at it.

Also, you can practice conversing when you are alone. Whatever comes to your mind in your native language, try composing the same thought into an English sentence - as if you were talking to your American friend.

Good luck!
