or
Call me *for* the details of the job.

Which one sounds better?

They both are correct but can have different meanings.

"for" means when you call me, I will tell you the details of the job.


"about' can mean the same as the above, but it can also mean that you already know the details of the job but we will discuss them further.

What if I have only told her about the job. I only asked if she is interested in the job, and she said yes.Then I texted her the message.

"For" would be best in this case, in my opinion.

If I had to choose one, I agree that "for" would be the better one but "about" would be very acceptable too.
