I will try to find your place according to my faded memory.

I have only been to this person's place once and I was merely following her on my scooter. I had to go to her place again with her direction. Is that a good way to say, "It might take me longer to find your apartment this time without following your back."

Thanks

I think it's a rather elegant way to say it, MsD. You are conveying that you don't remember cleary, and thus implying that you may get lost and take more time getting there.

How would you say it in your way?

Thanks

I agree with Bud. It's grammatically correct and poetically written. But if you are looking for something more colloquial, try:
I'll try to remember how to find your place, but it may take me a while.

I would have said that 5 or 10 years ago. Today I'd just say, "I'll call you on my cell if I get lost." My, how times have changed! Laughing
