Dear Teachers,
1. A: How many kids would you like to have?
B: Lots. like five or six.
- Can I say "many", "lots of" or "a lot of" instead of "lots"?
2. A: What's your favorite time of year?
B: Oh! I guess I like winter best.
- I think "the winter" is better, right?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. You can say "Many."
The grammar is different with "lots of" and "a lot of." With those, you have to add "them" - "Lots of them, like five or six."
2. "I guess" indicates a lack of certainty. Maybe it's that at this moment winter seems best. Maybe it's that autumn is also pretty good. Maybe it's that I never really thought about it before. Etc... But essentially, you are correct. |
