Hi, there!

I'd like to ask you about 'Yours sincerely,' a phrase used at the end of a letter before you sign your name.

Possessive pronouns like 'yours' can be said in a different way.
For example, 'My marks were higher than yours (= your marks).'

How do you paraphrase 'Yours (sincerely)' in this particular case?
What does this 'Yours' mean when used with 'sincerely' at the end of a letter?

I'm waiting for your replies.

Thanks. Smile

in this case, yours is not used as the meaning of possessive pronoun.
rather, as kind of complimentary close at the end of a letter,
it has the meaning of "presentation"
for example, To[Presented to] Mr. tailor with best wishes from...

this would be the answer you' re seeking for, i hope.
