Thanks guys!

Illegally and falsely? Then:
I'm going to join this program under an assumed identity.
I'm going to join this program under a false name.
I'm going to join this program under a bogus name.

I am not sure. However, I do have the person's permission to go to the workshop. It is not approved by the organization of the workshop.

Ah, sort of illegally, but you are not stealing their name against the person's will. So you might say:
I'm going to join this program under a borrowed name.
I'm going to join this program under my friend's name.

You can also use "alias," which is a name used instead of one's real name. Al Capone, alias Scarface, died in prison. You intend to sign up using an alias.
