Can I say "live of each other" here?
This gives us a considerable advantage over the rest of the earth's population, which consists of many lesser species living of each other.
Thanks! |

Dear Makin again: I can't think of a situation in which the verb 'live' is followed by the preposition 'of'. I think the best preposition in this case is 'with'. So, take out the 'of' and put in a 'with'. |

Maybe you are looking for "off": many lesser species living off one another -- some are parasites, some are predators, some are prey, etc. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
