"Now split the difference and we'll record."
When someone says the above sentence while recording a piece of music, what does that mean exactly?
What does 'the differece' mean here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

More context is needed, but "split the difference" means to compromise in the middle between two positions. Here, maybe some band members wanted to play the song fast, and others wanted to play it slow, so the leader said let's split the difference (tempo somewhere in the middle) and record the song. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
