Hi,
Are there expressions to describe something (i.e. dessert, sentiment, love) that is too sweet to gradually make you sick of it? Thanks in advance.

Yes. "Too sweet" is fine.
John couldn't eat the cake because it was too sweet for him. |

You can also say "cloying," "cloyingly sweet," or "sickeningly sweet."
