The U.S.A. is huge. It's hard to say what to do or see unless we know where you will be. What city will you be staying in?

In the Northeast: the Statue of Liberty in New York. East Coast: The Smithsonian Museum. In the Southeast: Disneyworld. In the Southwest: The Grand Canyon in Arizona. In the Northwest: Mount St. Helens volcano in Washington State. West Coast: The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Beef! Or if you are over 21 years old, California Napa Valley wine.

The others make some good points about America: it's a VERY big place, and it's hard to really say where you should visit while you're there. For starters, where will you be studying? And for how long? If you're studying in California, for example, then you'd do well to visit Los Angeles, San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas (as much as I hate it, tourists can't get enough of it!), and other attractions out west.

If you're studying in Boston, on the other hand, you'd want to make a trip to New York City, to Niagara Falls (in upstate New York), to Washington, D.C., and other east-coast favorites. While it's not hard to travel around the US, it can certainly be expensive (not like Europe, where you can find $20 flights across the continent). So if you're on a budget - and don't have too much time to travel - you won't be able to "see it all." Still, there should be more than enough to keep you busy.

Enjoy!

Chris

Yes, there are very easy flight companies which offer trips from Catalonia to England, for example, for just 1 euro. Of course taxes are added later, but still the whole flight isn't expensive at all.
