I know that a permanent solution is a good thing. But in the quote, a permanent solution sound bad.

Can you give me your opinion about the quote?

There is a play on words, permanet and temporary.

The problem is a temporary or transient, but you are trying to solve the problem forever (permanently) by killing yourself. When you die, your problems are gone (solved) forever.
