Dear teachers,
Which is the noun and which is the verb in below words?
What does it mean?
And, what means of "issuers" and "issues"?
"thorough research into the equity worthiness of individual issuers, as well as technical aspects of issues adds value"
Is "adds" the verb because it has "s"?
Then, are the nouns "thorough research into the equity worthiness of individual issuers, as well as technical aspects of issues "?
Please give me any help.
With regards.

The sentence has two noun phrases. One is the subject: thorough research into the equity worthiness of individual issuers; the other is part of the parenthetical expression introduced by as well as: technical aspects of issues. The verb is adds.
By the way, thorough should be capitalized and the comma before as should be removed.

According to Wikipedia, an issuer is "a legal entity that develops, registers and sells securities for the purpose of financing its operations". Issues refer to stocks. _________________ Mary W. Ng

Dear Mr./Ms. Mary W. Ng
Thank you for your punctilious answers.
They are very great help for me.

I don't understand how to use commas at all.
Not only commas, but also semicolon, colon, hyphen and so on are very very very difficult for me as a non-native English speaker.
So, it is very useful for me.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely.[/quote] |

Hi student teacher,
Please just call me Mary. I'll explain why the comma is an error: it breaks the sentence into two incomplete parts. Some people use commas to enclose parenthetical expressions introduced by as well as (so they would use another one after adds), but the commas are not necessary.

I hope you don't mind my correcting these two sentences.
1. Thank you for your answers.
2. They are of great help to me. _________________ Mary W. Ng
