Dear Teachers,
1. She likes to teach Japanese (for/to) children.
- you choose "to" or "for"?
2. A: Let's go to Lotus restaurant.
B: Do they have live music?
- Can I say "does it have" instead of "do they have"? does it change the meaning of the sentence?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. to (maybe there is a context where "for" would work, but usually "to" is what is needed)
2. Yes, it's fine and the meaning doesn't change.
It's really just a matter of your perspective. "It" refers to the restaurant. "They" refers to the people involved. "They" could be the owners, or perhaps the people who run the restaurant. Either way, though, both questions ask if there is live music. |
