Hey Wangfeel, how are you? Is that you writing in your avartar? That's so graceful and artistic!

Well, there are variations of the meaning, but it's bending over and grabbing you ankles with your hands so that your butt is exposed - probably for insertion of one thing or another. The variations come from what might be inserted. Laughing

Hi, bud,

thank you so much. I cannot find explaination from other places about this.

That is not me writing. That is my father. He is artist in that way, very flowing writing, right? It is very nice that you feel it too. But today we experience many new variations of this art, calligraphy, people like to try new. Imagination seems more important than hard practice. My father comes out from the latter. Tradition-rooted deeply style. You can not think of anything else except word charactors on his work. Not like some people today make me wonder that he is writing charactors or drawing a picture. Anyhow, the brush should go with a steady and purposed hand which I see very few today, even there is, very very slow motion like I can finish a lunch and still need to wait. Sad thing is that they are famous.

Very nice to see you again.

Wang feel

Yes, it seems that standards of excellence are becoming more and more lax in my counrty, too! It's a pity. But I love watching your father's traditional artistry!

It's was a nice suprise to see you back, too, Wangfeel.

"Grab ankle" can also mean get ready for a swat on the rear end.

When I was in school, a student who disrespected a teacher or broke a rule could be swatted -- hit hard on the bottom with a paddle. The offender (or wrongly accused victim, as I was once) had to go in front of the class, grab his or her (let's face it, it was always a boy, so his) ankles, with legs straight, and wait for the paddling.

Such corporal punishment is now banned in California.
