I need your assistance in claryfing the meaning of the following
phrase :-

I have to meet my (end-of-year deadlines at work). My doctor told me that there is nothing much I can do about it.

what is meant by end-of-year deadlines at work ?

That would depend on the type oj job, Hany. (I'm not aware of that as a general expression). For example, for a teacher it might be correcting final exams. For an accountant, it would be "closing the books" and writing year-end reports.
