Dear Teachers,
1. Gottcha!
- This means "I've caught you!" or "I see what you mean!"?
2. After listening to these songs, I feel very relieved and don't feel bored about my first love anymore.
- Is this ok to say?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. Yes, two very different meanings for the same slang. If you add "I" (I gotcha), it could also mean that I am guarding your safety while you are in a percarious situation (Maybe you are on a stool reaching for something, and I'm holding you to make sure you don't fall.)
2. If you change "bored" to something else (sad, bad, upset, etc.), it's OK. (If you were bored with your first love, you'd be glad that it has ended.) |
