| An estimated 10,000 is correct - estimated is used as an adjective. |

I wonder why 'an' should be used although 'acupuncturists' is plural in the example. I think that 'an' should be removed because 'acupuncturists' is plural, so I think that #1 in the above is more correct than #2. Can you clear my question?

Your question has already been answered. An goes with estimated not with acupuncturists. It's an estimated number or quantity. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
