shotgun approach=to attract a wider variety of people?
how would you use it in any condition?
It's not * in the card * for me. =It's never going to happen to me.?
the worst-case scenario-
when I want something and I begin to worry about it .can I say"I have started to picture the best-case scenario and the worst-case scenario?
bum leg=?
a killer strike= a knockout?
as fit as a "fiddle"=it can't be a violin, then what does this mean?
hold his gaze=can't stop but looking at something?
she had come back to his life like a sudden flame blazing
and*streaming*into his heart. why stream?
thanks to you all. |

shotgun approach...you have toe correct meaning! here's an example. "since we were attempting to get a response from as many people in the neighborhood as possible, we used a shotgun approach when we sent the postcards."
it's not in the cards for me...you have the correct meaning, but the phrase always has an 's' on the end of card.
if you are worried about something, you would simply say that...'i am worried about something.' the worst case scenario is usually used in a business setting in referring to an outcome of a meeting or transaction.
bum leg - this phrase means that you have a permanent injury to your leg which means that you walk with a limp and/or with a lot of pain all the time.
killer strike - knockout...great job!!
as fit as a fiddle is an onl saying and i don't know the immediate origins. the phrase means that you are feeling very well and you can accomplish whatever you are planning to do at that point.
hold his gaze...your meaning is correct!!
i have not heard the phrase 'streaming into his heart' but my guess would be that the feeling has come back slowly until your heart is full, similar to the way a stream flows (a small amount of water that flows slowly).
