I would like to know what this saying, "What goes around comes around" means. What does "go around" mean here? And "come around"?

Dear Jerry, That saying is sort of like 'you get what you deserve', what people now call 'karma'. Like, if you do good things to others, others will do good things to you. That completes a circle, I suppose, in complementary fashion: 'going' and 'coming' are complementary, opposite but forming a circuit. That's where the 'around' comes in. Ok?--Eric
