"understand the feminine mind"?!?! Are you saying it might be possible to do so?

Come on, turtle! You're an expert when it comes to the feminine mind! You managed to seduce a Chinese baby and a Brazilian girl who are far, far away from you, and all you offered were words and ideas!!! Wink

Yeah, I bet Itp-008 hates me now... but it's high time to understand that this is the nature of our posts here: they're always moving on. We don't need to get crazy about it. Well, at least this is my opinion.

I know what a woman and a man desire from each other:
A woman wants to feel like she is appreciated.
A man wants to feel like he is respected.

I appreciate you and RedRose. And I let you know - so you can feel it. The seduction is a beneficial side effect. Very Happy

That doesn't mean I "understand the feminine mind." Wink

You bet!!! and I bet too! Laughing I bet Itp-008 is biting her nails and scratching her head in a fury!! but what can we do? after all, here is a forum. what's a forum for? it's for people to give their opinions and have fun. therefore, if a person is narrow-minded and unreasonable, then the forum may be a nightmare for her.

Ha! Right.
Once past the body issue though - it's respect.

Why do you say respect? For me respect means athority, courtesy and tolerance. (this is the German wikipedia which defines the term respect by those three vocabularies: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Respekt)

1. I don't need her kneeling in front of me or light candles for me, so what's authority... I just want to be equated with her, that means without authority.
2. I don't need her being gentlemanlike to me, always says thanks in whatever I do for her, so what's courtesy... I just want her to love me, that means being loyal, don't do it with other guys, and treat me the way she wants to.
3. And tolerance, tolerance means accepting the things the other one does, yay, tolerance is ok. But if we only tolerate the other one, (means the other one can do whatever he wants) then we see him/her doing his/her stuff all day and doesn't tell you things which are important for your relationship. (Let's say she doesn't share her life with you, tells you some things and keep some as secret) At the end you know it and you get angry...

hmm... I think equality, loyalty and courtesy are the most important parts, so it's not respect... let's say love Laughing is the issue when the body issue is past, what do you think?

Oh and about tolerance... Let's imagine: If your boyfriend (if you are a girl) works as film star or something and he never has time for you and always meets his female colleagues at weekend for making a movie, the whole weekend inclouding housing, do you think tolerance is right here? Don't you get jealous because your boyfriend lives in the same villa with his female colleagues?) Oh let's say you are this girl, do you get jealous? Why? Why not?

Sorry to repost this from the middle of one of my other posts, but it answers your question about the meaning of respect.

My definition of the word "respect" is based on "the ethic of reciprocity" or "The Golden Rule":

First from Laozi's Dao de Jing (Taoist Philosophy), which is the basis for my thoughts:
老子:「道德经」:第四十九章
  圣人常无心,以百姓心为心。
  善者,吾善之﹔不善者,吾亦善之﹔德善。
  信者,吾信之﹔不信者,吾亦信之﹔德信。
  圣人在天下,歙歙焉,为天下浑其心,

百姓皆注其耳目,圣人皆孩之。

Lauzi "Dao de Jing": Chapter 49
The sage does not distinguish between himself and the world;
The needs of other people are as his own.

He is good to those who are good;
He is also good to those who are not good,
Thereby he is good.
He trusts those who are trustworthy;
He also trusts those who are not trustworthy,
Thereby he is trustworthy.

The sage lives in harmony with the world,
And his mind is the world's mind.
So he nurtures the worlds of others
As a mother does her children.

Then from several other sources:
"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD." Moses (ca. 1525-1405 BCE) in the Torah Leviticus 19:18
"This is the sum of duty; do naught onto others what you would not have them do unto you." from the Mahabharata (5:15:17) (ca. 500BCE)
"What you do not wish upon yourself, extend not to others." Confucius (ca. 551479 BCE)
"What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man." Hillel (ca. 50 BCE-10 CE)
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Jesus (ca. 5 BCE33 CE) in the Gospels, Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31, Luke 10:25
"None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." Muhammad (c. 571 632 CE) Hadith.

Doesn't CCTV fool Chinese people?

You have the rights not to agree with me on this issue,but could you give me fact to prove me wrong?please don't just shout out some slogans like red guard in the time of Culture Revolution.

How can you say that to our Chinese people.I think this is insult to our people.You are not a good person.How much do you know about China?if you don't know China's history ,please don't criticise China at random.Different country different culture.You can't understand our culture and custom.

I knew a bunch of Chinese history, during the 1940s the three-years civil wars in China communist party overthrew the Nationalist party and confiscated the property of landlords and capitalists , now three weeks ago the Chinese national congress passed a law in which protects the property of individuals again, and history made a joke about China sarcastically, then China severely suffered a lot from anti-right movement, great leap and culture revolution.

Human right , freedom and democracy are the universal values which your primier Wen had stated them in his article written by him four weeks ago.

Could I please ask you what are your culture and custom? do these culture and custom refuse against Human rights , freedom and democracy?

let 's play~ China has more than 4,000 years history, half of the time is unified and half of the time is broken up or occupied by foreign countries.

China has two great persons who are Kongzi and Laozi , they have great influence on Chinese society thanks to their ideas of philosophy.

I would like to let you know that I respect China and the people of China, I didn't and don't attack Chinese people, Chinese people are hardworking and intelligent people in the world, I believe that you should know the difference among the country, people in the country , government, communist party.
