(Like/ Liked/ Liking/ To like) children, Sue should become a teacher.

(question) Which one of the four is correct?(You can choose more than one). To me, both "Liking" and "To like" seems correct answers, but "To Like" just doesn't make sense, you know! What do you say?

I could only accept "Liking children, Sue should become a teacher." but I don't like that one either. I'd rather say, "Sue should become a teacher because she likes children." or "Since she likes children, Sue should become a teacher."

Thank u for your message. Then how about this?

(Like/ Liked/ Liking/ To like) children the way she does, Sue should become a teacher.

According to my book, the only answer is "Liking." Do you like it this time?

I agree that "liking" is the only acceptable answer. However, I still don't really like it. Wink

Liking a good debate, I will participate in this topic.

Liking is the only possible answer in both cases and I find the second example more natural than the first one.
