My suggestion is appropriate for written English.

"This is" will work well enough in conversational English, and the group members are right next to you. "They are" will work well enough conversationally when group members are at least a bit distanced from you.

CP always has good answers.

If you are not writing, but introducing them in person, you might say:

"This is group six. They are Jessy, Sherry..."

This first identifies the group, then each of the members. Probably the most natural spoken way to do it.
