Hello everybody!

I was looking at some of the forums in culture section and I have just noticed that the most popular forums are related to USA and Japan or China I just wanted to know why. Do you have a possible answer for this question? I hope so

Ill be waiting! Wink

Hi Adriana. I think the reason is.. because they're well known. And I think you should correct the subject, because I think you intended to say US, Japan and China. Sadly, I cannot find people who are really interested in Korea.

I mean, more precisely, people living all over the world. I heard Korean movies or dramas are popular in Asian countries, but not in European or American countries. For example, my English teacher from Canada said all he'd known about Korea was Korean war.. and he thought companies like Samsung, LG, and Hyundai are from Japan or China. Anyway, it's happy to hear that Korean culture is popular, from a foreigner!

We have several places to get Korean soft tofu soup around here. Other Korean food too. And Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.

But the city where I live is 30% Asian, so there's all kinds of Asian influence here.

Coz Korean entertainment products are so popular, and they can get your attention for the first time when you watch them!!!

Go to some CD store and get yourself some CDs of Korean movies and TV shows, you will know why by yourself.

My fist time to hear that.
I tend to think that Korean entertainment products like movies, tv series once reached their prime in here, but now more and more people around me are getting sick and tired of them. As a teenager I bought quite some Korean pop records, and was fascinated by some Korean tv drama. Not any more. It's not that they're not as good as the past, in fact they're probably even better. It's just we have seen too much, been too familiar with the plot and scenery and way of acting to feel interested. It's impossible to deny that they are still very hot in my country, since almost everyday when I watch entertainment news I have to be informed of some incidents of one or two Korean stars. I guess many people, mostly teenagers still fancy them a lot. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, the Korean trend is on the decline, just as far as I see.
