"It might help TO improve my skills" = It might be helpful if I improve my skills.

"It migh help me improve my skills" = That technique / book / whatever might be something that will improve my skills.

What does service a debt mean?
--To service a debt or service a loan means to handle the payments and keep track of the balance due until the loan is all paid off.

What does cash mountain mean?
--Never heard of it. Where did you see / hear it?

What does friendly bid mean?
--Maybe something to do with bridge, the sophisticated card game. Where did you see / hear it?

Hi, CP

Can you tell me exactly what kind of tennis racquet you chose for the competition? If I would get the same, it might help me to improve my game.

The above sentence can be correct or not. One has to find a mistake. I think that "to" is unnecessary. Do you agree? If not why and how does the "to" change the meaning?

all the below questions refer to Business English

What does cash mountain mean?
--Never heard of it. Where did you see / hear it?

Financial experts say that Alicom has only a small debt to service and so may use its cash mountain to buy out one of its rivals.

What does friendly bid mean?
--Maybe something to do with bridge, the sophisticated card game. Where did you see / hear it?

Kola-Co has made a friendly bid of 21p per share.

TIA,

Kate.
