You could say that they are both correct. Let me give you another example.
I love getting up early. (I do it and I love it.)
I hate getting up early. (I do it and I hate it.)
I love to get up early. (I don't always do it and I love it.)
I hate to get up early. (I don't always do it and I hate it.)
As a general rule when you use the -ing form of the verb it means that the action, get up early, is something you do normally or on a regular basis.
When you use the infinitive is means that this is a desire or a wish, in the affirmative, or simply a comment or observation in the negative. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
