Dear Teachers,
1. When I say "she's very greedy". This means "she eats a lot" or this means "she wants to gain as many things as possible"? How can I distinguish the meaning of this sentence?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

"Greedy" does not usually mean "eats a lot". It means "wants to get/keep everything for her/himself." |

She likes to eat a lot. = She's gluttonous.
She wants to gain many things. = She has tremendous avarice.
She wants to keep her many things and doesn't share. = She is greedy. |
