Hello,

When would you say something like 'to show an interest in...'? Does it mean the same as 'to have an interest in...' and 'to be interested in...' e.g.

'He seemed to show an interest in learning English.'

'He seemed to have an interest in learning English.'

'He seemed to be interested in learning English.'

Do the three sentences mean the same?

I have more examples as follows:

"I am interested in learning English."

Could I use the sentence like "I show an interest in learning English." instead here?

"He shows an interest in learning English."
And
"He showed an interest in learning English."
