Hello.
I would like to know if the below sentence is correct or not;
"The device is set at a high temperature."
And also what preposition should be used before 'the device' in the following sentence with the same meaning as above? 'On' is correct?
What about 'for' or other ones?
"A high temperature is set on the device."
Thanks for your help always.

Hi,
As far as I can ascertain, the only correct way to say this is the original way you had it, namely:
"The device is set at a high temperature"
Any other way seems unnatural and we would not say it. You shouldn't put device at the end of the sentence, it must come at the beginning. You could also replace "The device" with "it". _________________ Ozabout7or8 |
