Because Taiwan is located in the monsoon climate, there are usually several typhoons in Taiwan each year, especially in summer days. Most typhoons will bring a lot of rains. Some places can not be able to drain spare water easily; therefore, when typhoons bring the rains which are beyond the capacity of the place, it will result in a terrible flood. Take Xizhi City for example, because the city is in the lower location, as a consequence, the first floor, even the second floor will be flooded with water when typhoons bring a lot of rains. The only way they think to solve is that to take the more valuable things to the high floors. After all, we do not have any methods to avoid it. In addition, typhoons will cause a strong wind. It will make some big shop signs which are falling to the ground to hurt the pedestrians. The more serious incident maybe that mudflows and landslides will be resulted from the rains and wind which typhoons bring. Many years ago, a lot of roads in the mountains were becoming the landslides owing to the heavy rains and strong wind. And it caused a big trouble that time because many roads could not be passed, and it was really inconvenient. In conclusion, even we can not avoid the natural disasters; we still can try to reduce the disasters they cause. Surprised
