Firefox is good. IE is good too.
If you make your home page a blank then it is as fast as Firefox. It is the home page garbage that slows it down.

I have some experience in coding web pages and I can say that most web designers prefer Firefox. IE has a "quirks" mode which can really distort how a page should look in a W3C compliant browser.

Provided that the normal internet user possesses Internet Explorer, it's a bit of effort to get used to something which looks different. That's why I like Internet Explorer.
(I also used Mozilla before but somehow my Computer got a virus and when I had to change I had to use Internet Explorer because it's given)

firefox is more faster than IE; however, i prefer IE because it has the new tab function that Firefox doesnt
