some polo shirts are pima polos, some mesh polos. Is mesh the kind of fabric with more visible 'grid'? Thanks.

I was hoping someone who knows more about cloth and clothing would answer this. :p Here's all I know: Pima is a type of cotton. Mesh clothing usually has visible holes, like a net. But when I looked at "mesh cotton polo shirts" on the web just now, they don't seem to have visible holes. I would guess that the cloth on these shirts is woven to have very small holes, that aren't very visible but make you feel cooler.

That's a big help already.
I did notice some polo fabric had got more obvious woven grain (or as you said, a 'net' kind of cloth), but others looked plain smooth and flat. I'm now about 99% sure they were respectively mesh and pima. About the holes, I guess often times you can't see them from a picture on the web, even though they are quite visible on a real piece of fabric.
